I received such great news from the npo.nl fund. After development they now also fund the realisation of my new documentary `She did not cry.` Together with producer HALAL and KRO-NCRV, I will be working on this film in the coming year that follows the therapeutic process of young people who have come into contact with sexual exploitation and violence. I thank the therapists for this extensive look behind the scenes. The complexity of the stories is often written on their faces. And so brave of these youngsters who let me into these sessions, something they often do to warn others.

IDFA/NPO Workshop

Selected for the IDFA/NPO to develop a documentary about a Central American country’s strict abortion laws, zooming in on this one example midst an increasing worldwide wave of rising anti-abortion regulations. At the heart of the film is Arturo – a male feminist in a macho culture – who fights for women behind bars, charged with their unintended miscarriages. The documentary is currently in development together with producer Halaldocs
